Alan and HRE - Thank you for building a quality product, supporting your dealers, and more importantly, supporting your customers. This thread shows customers that have more respect for HRE wheels then any other I have seen posted here.
Thanks Vivid. Nice to have you as a partner. I can take the punches so don't worry and I won't hide from the truth. Those that know us know we're not like that. I just hope people are able to recognize the trolls when they come out and from under whose bridge they live. It's easier for us obviously as we know the players, but I imagine people realize what is going on. They're pretty entertaining to watch actually.

I gotta say for the top dog of a major wheel company to come out and answer peoples questions and then discuss the quality of their product is an enormous feat in itself. I too give you much deserved respect for not only doing such a wonderful job producing a quality product but also in dealing with the retail/ end user. Its not often we get to ask questions to the manufacturer and I appreciate it.
To all who question the product quality, most of us on here are driving Porsches, how many of us have had issues that we had to take the car back to the dealer? Countless. I think if you look at it like that then most people could understand that there will always be a small percentage of "damaged or tainted" goods. The thing is you hope when things turn ugly that your dealing with a company who stands by the product and makes good on their words. I think that HRE has proven that here and thats what really matters. I will definelty be buying a set of HRE's (but can you make them a bit cheaper please, LOL), you get what you pay for. I love your attention to customer service, job well done Alan.

Thanks!! Just so you know... I'm not the top dog here at HRE. I'm just one of the team but I appreciate the sentiment.

I have five sets of wheels for my 911 alone. The C93s are the most beautiful wheels I've ever seen. I gottem from Dan, and he's been perfect to me. I needed HRE a time or two (for little silly things) and they've treated my little needs as if they were very important and took care of me. Marc at HRE is a fine man. It's all good. I won't buy anything else (unless I need a battle wheel... then I'm getting Volks again... those are badass *****. Affordable, and they just won't break!)

He contacted Overfinch who had absolutely no problem telling him that the wheels were poorly engineered and had not been properly tested, if at all. They claimed it cost a "small fortune" to clean up your recall mess.

You have the gall to say you're "disappointed" and criticize someone else's product... I'll put my money where my mouth is- I bet $100 that you've never seen the product you're criticizing, much less subjected it to any testing what-so-ever. Please Mr. Peltier, prove me otherwise.

To suggest someone else is a pretender? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
A recall is a recall, a ****ty situation at best. However, HRE makes a quality product and backs it up with exceptional service, end of story.

Watch out for that nasty snap over steer when around curbs! Good to see a quality product stand the ultimate test of poor driving judgment.

I agree. Most companies have had recalls, that includes Ferrari, Mercedes, BMW, etc who have the best engineers. The way HRE explains how quick they fixed the situation is what keeps me buying their wheels because I know they are not afraid to go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. That assuring for me as a customer.
