997 OBDII ECU Flash and BRV's $2650 SHIPPED
Thanks for the help today Dan. MG is psyched. I think this may get him started. I hear you recommended some nice HRE's for his next mod. I have had several cars flashed, but to be able to do it (and undo it) in my own garage is awesome. 600+ hp in a 3200lb car, nice.
Dan,
I have to ask you some questions to clear up some issues in my mind.
You posed a question "What is the big difference between this and
the evoms software?"
You answered your own question: "Many Many differences. For starters, we are the ONLY one doing OBDII flashing for the client with a simple cable. We do not require you to mail in your ECU for a bench flash. We use Bosch OEM tools to write code and do not use off the shelf reverse engineering tools from Flash Booster and then transferring data with Byte Shooter."
My question is do you really know what EVO is using to write their software? My understanding from being around this industry since 2000 is your information is not correct information. I believe they use a tool called "byteshooter" for select applications and this tool is used to write the data to the ECU and could not have anything to do with "reverse engineering" or how they write their software. I am currently preparing for my own software and I am familiar with Protomotive, EVO, Performance Developments and 911 Design.
You then went on to say: "The end result will be similar in performance." By so doing you basically discredit a competitors process and their so called "tools" but then claim that the performance of your software will be similar.
Dan, you may well have a great software, however it needs to stand on it's own merits. EVO has proved their software in my opinion. I have never used their software, however I know many who have and have considered allowing them to tune my motor along with others.
I am speaking as a member, not as a mod ........... I am all for anyone making corrections to the state of the art in this industry, however claims really need to be backed with actual facts. No one needs to climb over anyone to get up the ladder.
I truely hope you have a great new product, but please let it stand on it's own merits without injecting issues about competitors that do not appear to be correct.

Dan: this question I'm sure has been posed before- Can the ECU be reversed to stock status whereby the dealer will have no idea that ECU was modified. I spoke with my dealer and they said if any engine trouble is caused by the ECU tune they will void the warranty.
