A car that is capable of such extreme lateral loads requires a seat with exceptional support. The standard sport bucket seat has manual fore/aft adjustment plus two additional features rarely encountered on comparable seat designs: a folding backrest and an integral thorax airbag in the side support.



The folding function enables easy access to the rear luggage area. The backrest pivots are positioned high in the side bolsters, providing optimum support for the torso, pelvis and legs. This is the first time ever that the lateral support of a bucket seat has been combined with a folding backrest. The backrest shell has a glass-fiber reinforced plastic core and a carbon-fiber surface with visible weave pattern. This construction provides excellent rigidity while also reducing weight (each seat weighs 39 lbs, the stock seats are usually over 55 lbs). Are these only available in black? I have a red interior...

 

These are only available in black leather with carbon backs and the embossed Porsche crest in the headrests.

 

Will these bolt right in to a 997.2 Turbo S? or do I need adapter plates or modification?

 

Yes they will, for USA models only. This is a direct swap on a US 997 and currently 20% off retail. If you're running harnesses you'll need a sub mount bar but nothing else needed for 3-point belts

 

Why wont these fit euro spec car?

 

They will fit, but the wiring / plugs may not be correct for all cars. These have weight sensors in the passenger seat, this isn't required outside the USA but is optional.
