Suspension Upgrades

I got this suspension parts.

http://www.gocpt.com/products/2/CPT9...ontrolArms.php
http://www.gocpt.com/products/3/CPT9...arToeLinks.php
http://www.gocpt.com/products/7/CPTP...kingPlates.php

I think the Camber and toe locking plates are a must when ordering the Upper control arms and toe links because with the locking plates you can easily cancel OEM adjustments and use only the "nuts" in the new arms and links.
Also you will have symmetric left and rear suspension arms.I think people don't pay attention to the locking plates maybe I am wrong but never saw anyone using them.

I would tend to agree, the GMG stuff is very similar, as is the TRG. Dealers choice here!

Yes products are very similar I also use TRG bar end links front and rear they work great with coil overs.
The interesting product here I think are the camber/toe blocking plates.

Luis,

I am trying to learn and gather information myself (i.e. not that sure myself), but I thought that when you change toe control arm, the one with bump steer is better?
GMG & Tarett Engineering have both versions, with and without. You could see the difference at one end of the arm.

1. Tarett with bump steer below http://www.tarett.com/items/996-997-products/list.htm:

2. Tarett without bump steer below:

3. Yours (below) looks like it does not have bump steer?

I have Chicago performance and Tuning and GMG and both are very similar. They use a front Steering arm and install custom made adaptor and ball joint to adjust the rear toe.

When you lower a car, sometimes it's hard to dial in a superaggressive alignment, esp in the rear. This allows you to do so. I would rec gmg springs, sways, daogbones, toe rods and adj bushings if you waant the max. However, some ride will suffer. Just doing springs one can attain a GT3 alignment and not really 'need' the rest, esp on a DD. I think I'll do the gmg springs on mine then add the rest later if I feel the need.
FYI, I talked to a couple of high end race shops(cup cars, etc) about these, they recommended staying away from the tarret products. The two they mentioned were gmg and trg only.

That's interesting. I've heard good things about Tarett although I greatly trust GMG's stuff as everything on my car is GMG. Helps to know their products are homologated around knowledge and designs they run in the World Challenge series. Not to mention their work with PMNA who are literally right across the street from them.

Just came back from the align shop and it was super easy to adjust the rear of the TT with the new components.
Tomorrow to the track!

OFF TOPIC

Chris,

Were there specific reasons given re. Tarett product? Are they prone to breaking or was it service related?

I don't recall seeing much in the way of negative comments towards Tarett in the past, plus I believe they are the only one making after-market drop links.

Guy, I just ordered their springs, considering the rest of the package as well.
