With all due respect to Evoms and Sharkwerks the pdk´s are very difficult to dyno, I just hope someone´s better half is not in the passenger seat with a hot cup of coffee!

Again, thanks for the information seven_227!

OK, thinking out loud here and anyone can disagree with me if they choose but as a 09 997S owner, track junkie, instructor and over all enthusist these prices for ECU flash and everyones prices for simple exhaust mods are extremely expensive and out of control.

Yes I know I bought an expensive car and blah blah blah and so forth but...these exhaust mods are much to high in price especially in todays economic times.

Forget it... I will just stick with what I have and put exhaust mod money aside for DE's, tires and brakes. My 997.2 (385hp S verison...well I do have the Fabspeed by pass pipes so according to fabspeed I have around 403hp) is fast enough on the track.

After the response from FVD, I can somewhat understand the development and constant code breaking/programming of the ECU, so I wont argue the price, although it still seems high. I completely agree with mdrums though, as the prices for exhaust mods is pretty hefty. Just because I drive a porsche doesnt mean I am stupid with my money. I know when something is worth the price, and in my opinion, this system is not realistic.

Just an example: I didnt feel like lowering my prices in my business, but I had to, in order to stay competitive and adjust to the current market. It seems that you guys are kind of just looking at what you think it should be worth, and not what the market demands. No one is buying now. Never understood that concept. Ultra high price, to sell 50 units, when you can make it a reasonable price, and sell 200 units. Basic business.....

TheGreek,

I completely understand and agree with your philosophy. We lowered our prices by 15% nearly 8 months ago to stay competitive. Ask anyone...except GT3Ranger ( as for him it was a bitter memory, sorry Ranger). We are certainly not looking at it from the perspective of what we think its worth. We purchase from German manufacturer´s, we have the Euro price to contend with, we air freight our parts out of Germany, we have to clear customs, we have to pay for TUV approval, etc. etc. Please imagine the additional costs involved. With all do respect, we are at the lowest price point possible considering the circumstances....

Just try to imagine running your business from Germany.

Thanks,
Rhonda

911-CAR is infamous around these parts
Nice products!
Can you tell me difference in sound, if you only install the Primary Muffler Bypass?
Does it make a nice sound and is it worth if you only purchase the Primary Muffler Bypass?
It's for a normal 3.6 carrera PDK.
Sorry for my English

regards

Since the level 2 super sound kit include mufflers, how does that affect cars with PSE? I assume that button will no longer work to produce a quiet and loud mode?

Also, how does your bypass compare with the sharkwerks bypass?

Correct the PSE valves will be disabled with that option.

I would work with what you have, the PSE is a great sounding system once you increase the dB's and exhaust gas velocity...

What I would suggest for the PSE is the following:

Header & Cat System 997 09- (Headers 70mm with200 Cell Catalytics) - BES 997 292 00S if you are running a software file.

Or

Header Cat System 997 09- (Headers 70mm with 200 Cell HD Catalytics) - BES 997 292 00SHD if you plan not to run software.

If you keep the PSE exhaust and add those items you will get a much lower, deeper tone with a nice GT3 sounding pitch change up top. Not to mention the power that you will feel, and if you don't want to run the software right away you have an option.

Hope that helps,
Rhonda
