Fabspeed 2009 Porsche 997.2 Primary Muffler Bypass “X-Pipe” New Pricing!

Fabspeed 2009 Porsche 997.2 Primary Muffler Bypass “X-Pipe"

Porsche 2009 997.2 Primary Muffler Bypass “X-Pipe” is IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP!! New price is $795. 10% discount for 6Speed members until November 25, 2009.
  • Fits all Porsche 997.2 Carrera vehicles 2009+.
  • Saves 6.4lbs/2.9kg from under the vehicle.
  • Cast X pipe with Laser cut small window and 60mm internal tubing allows for increased exhaust flow scavenging with less backpressure. This pulls the exhaust gases out of the car engine, creating power and torque.
  • High quality 14 gauge T304 stainless steel, C.N.C. mandrel bent tubing.
  • Dramatically improved horsepower and unique sportscar sound.
  • Simple, do-it-yourself installation with all hardware included.
Fabspeed new X-Pipe Primary bypass replaces the OEM Primary muffler to increase overall power and save weight. The new Porsche 997.2 has 3 mufflers on the car and by replacing the primary muffler with an X Pipe Bypass, you will increase power and sportscar sound, while at the same time saving weight. Fabspeed X-pipe is constructed from 14 gauge, T304 stainless steel, and will increase exhaust flow compared to the factory primary muffler.

Fabspeed’s X-Pipe works with the stock 2ndary mufflers and OEM headers. For more power and a more enjoyable sound, Fabspeed offers secondary Dual-Tone Maxflo mufflers to replace the heavy and restrictive factory mufflers. All products are backed by Fabspeed’s Lifetime Limited Warranty, which guarantees the products for life to the original consumer.

Please feel free to check out our website, FABSPEED.COM for more products for your 2009 Porsche 997.2. We are the premier East coast distributor and tuning center for EVOMSit software and have an ECU upgrade available for your Porsche.

FAB-WORX is infamous around these parts
I wonder why this seems to have a lack of support on the board. I personally like the idea.

No problem, we have a great Competition air intake that is very similar to this one that we just released. It make a really nice power and sound improvement and is very easy and simple to install. Here is the link to our website where its located and here is a picture of the new intake.
Thanks,

Alex,

If you disconnect the battery for 30 seconds post install, you never get a CEL on non-flapper 3.6 liter cars. FYI.

Is there a loss of low end torque/hp with the x-pipe vice crossover pipes that do not share a center connection? This has been reported by other manufacturers and I have seen some dyno sheets that tend to support this. This is a good deal but I don't want to sacrifice power for sound.

There is no power loss at all with the X Pipe bypass. I attached a Dyno result below showing the gains through the RPM range over stock. The gains are substantial and very noticeable in the car. We had tested the X Pipe versus our Cross over pipe which we used to make and the X Pipe made more power throughout the board and thats all we carry now. Let me know if you have any questions.

Dyno Result: http://www.fabspeed.com/dyno1.html

Unplugging the battery does help the car relearn the idle and adapt to the new upgrades.
