Replaces the original maps with the latest version available. The maps have an updated database with more points of interest, with over 6 million miles of road covered. The update provides 14% more points of interest, including updated restaurants, more ATMs, and more gas stations. As a result, considerably more tourist information (hotels, restaurants, parking garages/lots, services stations, etc.) are provided.

Upgrades the operating software to latest version available. For all Carrera models models with navigation 2009-2012. Updates the maps to the latest 2014/2015 maps.

Crickets here......and I have held off doing mine till I'm closer to my next drive trip (plus the fact that my dlr. charges $507. ).

Anyway, I would assume, or at least hope, that there's updated road data. On our way to Parade this past summer she (we call her 'Suzy') had us turning onto dirt roads in the middle of Indiana.

 

The newest version of software is 2.2x.

Yes the map updates normally come with a software update disc. The software update usually needs to be installed before the map updates can be.

 

Thanks Ryan. I've seen several people running v2.24. Are you sure v2.20 is the latest version?

 

That may be the case now. I updated my post. I guess the PDF I was getting the info from may have been an outdated one.
