Price Check 05 997S

Buddy of mine is looking at a 05 997S Black Black full leather with 3000 miles. Car had a 91,000 dollar sticker. What do you think a fair deal would be on the car? It is supposed to be a perfect 10. He can buy it for 67,000.

wizo is infamous around these parts
I like the fact that its a perfect ten but you have to remember a 05 that has only 3000 miles on it has sat around along time without being driven. Any car and every car needs to have some moderate miles to ensure that the seals do not get hard and or crack and everything stay lubricated. That would be one worry of mine.
I would def. get an oil change also.
67K is a pretty fair number if it is a perfect ten, it should be really with that amount of mileage. What other options does it have? Sport crono, nav or adaptive seats? If it has only full leather and no crono, I would shoot a lower number and see the rebutle. Maybe 64.5K or 65K sound a bit more fair for it.
Regardless of a few thousand dollars, especially if financed, If he loves the car and has been looking around I would go for it. Sometimes its hard finding the exact car you want and still be happy with the condition its in.(IF its used that is).
Good luck.--Compare to autotrader and ebay, also cars.com is a good place as well.

Thats more like it. Offer 65K and take it at 65.5 and be happy. Have the oil changed and seals inspected if can at the porsche dealership and be a happy camper!

There are several 05 C2S on craigslist.org. I saw one with techart 20s, exhaust, intake, SS black on black, tint windows with tons of options and 12k miles for $62k asking price, the car was in the Cali Bay area. I would check there, 05 C2S price is dropping quite fast, I should of wait, but end up getting a 07 CS.

market value of the car I've seen around 62-67k private sale, and upwards to 72k from dealers. This is with about 15k miles and decently optioned. Condition is important, and I would also add that regardless of where you buy it from, have a Pre Purchase Inspection done just in case you're missing something that could be easily detected on a lift.

with that said, I recently bought an 05 w/ 8000 miles black/black fully optioned out for a great deal from another 6spd member. I think mid to high 60s will buy you a VERY good example 997S. Lower than 65 i'd be worried about condition and history, higher than 70 and i'd look elsewhere.

here's an example of an 05 997S, well optioned, reasonable miles, for mid 60's
