tons of smoke ... no engine lights ... help!

If you leave the car for a while they all do this. It's a characteristic of the boxer engine and where the oil collects when the car is left un-driven over a period of time. You will probably also get a clattering sound from the valve gear for the same reason. It sounds ugly and looks ugly, but is normal.
