Borla for 997S is ready!
Borla for 997S is ready!
Hi, everyone. Borla is finally done with the prototype S exhaust. Looks good, sounds great. First, initial #s. I got 14 horses to the ground with the addition of the exhaust and borla headers. Ran 3 seperate dynos. Car is stock otherwise.
Looks-3.5" dual. Looks very aggressive. Nice fit and finish.
Sound- Loud as hell. Similar in tone to muffler bypass, but without as much volume. Very mean, low grunt. Air cooled sound almost in nature.
Feel- Car seems much smoother. Launch is much smoother. Car doesn't seem to want to stall as much. Acceleration is much smoother, but not sure its much faster.
Help- If someone could post up the pics. Ill send some over in the morning along with a scan of the dyno sheet to put up. Will also prepare a little vid to give you an idea.

Sounds great, and the description is pretty acurate. I got the same power to the wheels as well using Borla's own dyno, as well as using an independent dyno shop here in So. Cal. I'll be posting my own non-S prototype up for sale in the classifieds section soon and I will get some good solid video clips for you guys to hear it.
not sure on build times, but it should be a few weeks out. They just completed the prototype, so 4-8 weeks is reasonable.
