after market sirius radio
Mine is under the plastic cowl cover at the base of the windshield near where the factory Nav GPS antenna is mounted. I get good reception with it mounted there. In fact, in the one problem reception area near my house (lots of tall pine trees along both sides of the road), I actually get fewer dropouts on Sirius with the 911 than I do with my wife's 07 X5 which has the factory Sirius with the antenna in the "shark's tail" mounted on the rear of the roof.
I don't have a pic, but if you look for one of the threads on installing the Porsche XM or Sirius Radio from a Cayenne in a 911, you'll see where it goes. It's probably about 12 inches from the fore to aft centerline of the car just to the rear of where the Nav unit goes.
By the way, I have the Nav-TV Sirius unit that works through the PCM just like the factory satellite unit.

Has anyone considered the Stilleto 2? I debating that or the Star 4. If anyone has pictures or ideas, please share them.
Thank you,
Chris
PS: Scuzy, where are you planning to mount your faceplate? Have you posted your request on Rennlist and/or Rennteam?
