what is the best % off MSRP when ordering new?

Hey guys,
Do you think I can ask for 7% off MSRP when ordering a 08 C2S in the Northeast?
Thanks.

You can ask for them to give you the car for free

I ordered my 07 C2S in October of 06 and got 9.3% off the MSRP of $85k. I'd say the market is much worse today, so in theory the discount should be as good if not better.

Around 8-9% in Chitown now. This won't happen in 2 months.

If you're paying cash for the car then the % you get off msrp is your true discount, but if there is financing or leasing of any kind involved and you are not getting the base money rates, just using the % off msrp can be misleading.

My 2007 997 retailed for 80K and I paid around 72K plus tax, tags, etc. It ended up being around 75K out the door. I live in NC.

Thanks. I just want to get much information before I walk in the door. When I got my C2S new back in 2005, I was only able to get $3000 off. Hope I can do better this time around.

Keep in mind from my understanding PNA won't be getting the same allocation they did in years previous. I still think 7-9% is doable from some snowed in dealer.
