Those headlights have me regretting letting the 993 go - like the front more than the 996. Have the Cayeneisk interior - too Camry like. I sit in the car more than I see the outside - will stick with the 996 TT as my daily driver until they take the 997 interior back to 996 style.

In the meantime, I'll get a 993TT for the track.

Just a fantastic car in every respect (save for the lack of a spare) IMO. Porsche has once again taken everything we ***** about and fixed it all (same thing they did with the 02 over the 99-01). It has great looks - back to the round lights, wider looking, bad **** mirrors (not real pleased with this though as a CGT buyer, but I fully expected the CGT to be a trickle down platform ala the 959), a great interior, better exhaust sound (though they started addressing that in 02 as well), seats with better lateral support, the old door handle that probably makes the old "Porsche" click of quality, a sport button (ala the BMW Ms), sport/comfy ride selection at the flick of a switch (the only thing I like immensely on the 360), shorter throw for the shifter (no more need to get hosed on short shift kits anymore), an LSD, and an S option in a lighter rear wheel drive C2 package! The only gripe is the lack of engine meat in the non S over the 04. The C2S is just about perfect IMO.

997 CAB?

I have heard that the production start for 997 cabs is unknown. I am planning on ording a coup since the 05 cabs are still 996 body style, at least that's what my dealer has told me.

Anybody know when 997 C or CS Cabs with the new body style will be available?

I don't like the BMW M style sport button and the sport/comfy ride selection. If it is a sports car it should be sporty all of the time. IMO.
