Smile GT3 Bumper installation

Hi All,

Does anyone have any experience for the GT3 bumper installtion on th 997? Can you actually do it yourself without porsche certified body shop? I am planning to get th GT3 front Bumper and have them painted and think about installing the Gt3 bumper in my garage. Any advices would be helpful.

Thanks
ALan

yes, that would be the case, but if I came across any used GT3 bumper that match the color of my car, I can just installed myself ...just some option I am thinking...

on your 997? Pony up the dough and do it right. Have a body shop install it and guarantee the work. Are you really going to find a used color-matched bumper? Seems unlikely to me.

+1 .. Paint matching is much more complicated than using the same color, it would look off.

I have bad experience with body shop, I would rather do it myself if I can.

On the cayman club website, they have many useful technical articles.

There is one on front bumper removal. It should be very similar on the 997.
