Negative effects of a narrower rear rim?

I am looking for some technical advice about wheel size. I have an 2006 C2S Cab and I am looking to put some 20 inch aftermarket wheels on it. I found some affordable wheels I really dig but the widest they come in are 10.5 inches (not in 11 inches like the factory rims). I actually prefer the look of the tire on the narrower rim than I do on the 11 inch.

Is there any techinical reasons why I should not go with a slightly narrower rim if the offset and all other aspects of the wheel are correct for my car?

Also, am I alone in thinking the factory "S" wheels (on there now) look like an array of 5 bottle openners?
