Westlake Ed is infamous around these parts
Wheel Wax

Has anyone ever used this product or know anything about it? They have a website and claim it's for use only on wheels. Just wondering whether my new HRE P40's would benefit from it.

It makes the wheels easier to clean. Rejex works pretty well also.

Its not much better than any of the available paint sealants on the market. I would recommend Collinite 845 IW (Insulator Wax) for use on wheels and/or paint. It is an amazingly durable Caranuba wax that protects for months (on paint..less time on wheels) and looks awesome.

For quick protection while washing, I would recommend Duragloss AquaWax (951).

Hope that helps.

It all depends on the finish on your HREs. If it's polished aluminum, you don't want to wax it. The aluminum is porous and needs to breath. You should only polish it. If it's a clearcoated p40, then you can use a wax like rejex that will do wonders. Either way, the best thing to do is clean the wheels often using a safe pH balanced wheel cleaner like p21s wheel cleaner or zymol wheel cleaner. You can then use zymol Metall to polish them safely every 3 months or as needed to bring them back to life if it's a polished aluminum finish.
