I have seen the brochure and those insane schematics that list every little thing in the interior of the car, not sure if I need the seatback release cover in leather or not? But what does full leather include? Just the entire seats or does this included the dash and door panels etc...

Also, since I live in AZ, even though my cars are garaged for the most part, will a leather dash handle such extreme UV exposure well or should I avoid it???

 

on 996 full leather is dash, door panels and doors - definitely a must!! (standard on TT/GT2)

 

The 996 full leather interior package includes all surfaces (front & back) of all seats, dash, door panels, rear seating area side panels, A/B/C pillars, trim under rear window, and a few misc. others. There are other leather packages that cover things like A/C vents, seat controls, fuse box cover, you name it!

Living where you do, the leather dash will require a bit more maintenance than a plastic one, but the full leather interior is the only way to go. Sit in a car with and without it and you see what I mean.
