Configuring Pcm For Text W Dension
I just found the same article, what exactly do i have to do, hit that toggle switch to give me options on the screen for the text??sorry but iv taken the dash apart and just getting a little frustated with this configure thing. thanks
Not sure about your install, but your best bet is to make sure your unit is accessible after you put your dash back together.
I've got the Dension and find it a bit flaky - some times it works perfectly, other times it doesn't. Resetting and updating with new software seems to help.

My limited experiance (I did a Dension install on Saturday).
1. Make sure the iPod is in sleep mode when you plug it into the Dension.
2. Make sure the dip switches on the Dension unit are set correctly, this is not in the Dension manual you need a separate sheet, the switch switches are car dependant and change depending on if you have a CD changer or not.
3. See page 5 of the Dension user manual, the CD select buttons 1 - 9 allow you to select various list options (with an iPod buttons 5, 3, 2 & 1 do something). To get a list of albums hold down 3 for about 2 seconds it will then scan in all the CD names. Then on the audio screen select track list (right hand side rotary dial) to get a list of CD names. Once you select a CD it will play (after a second or 2) and display the track names. You can navigate CDs and tracks using the right hand side rotary ****.
