Mid 60's is a fair price for that car. Last year when I was in the market myself, I stumbled upon a 2006 C2S with full leather, PSE, Nav, multi steering wheel, 19inch Carrera Classics, Upgraded bose for $70,000 with 11K miles.

i think that is too much.

i sold my 997s last august with MSRP just short of 100k. it had added 3m bra and most importantly, reus sound upgrade. it had around 12-3k miles when i sold it and i recall getting a little over 70k for it. i even threw in a set of new mich PS2 tires.

keep looking. there are plenty for sale.

To everyone who says this car is too expensive, just remember your words when you come here complaining you can't sell your car for anything near what you'd like.

Depreciation is a major fact of life with this marque, and unfortunately, I've gotta agree that mid- to high-sixties sounds right.

In the end, only you need to be happy with the choice - and in that case, it may just be worth paying up for a pristine car with options you prefer.

FYI, original sticker was north of 105k....

Do you think offering 67k would be a decent deal? The car is certified.

Great Post. Thanks for the ideas....and your right...i am the one driving it so ultimately i need to LOVE it - and i do - from the color combo to the options - but i just want to be semi-smart about my choice as i tend to be a bit compulsvie with things like this

IMO I think that is a fair price. I just paid $73K for an '06 C2S with factory aero, PSE, adaptive sport seats, short shifter, full leather,PCM and 20" Techart Formulas. Car has 13K miles. Original sticker was $115K I was holding out and trying to get them to drop the price. They would only come down 1K. It was the only white on black with the options I wanted that I could find. When they claimed that some guy from Vegas was coming down to purchase the car I decided a few thousand wasn't going to break me. Maybe I overpaid, but it was the car I was looking for. I say if you really like the car go for it.

Yea man...i love the Guards on Black combo - which this is...and factory Aero is my fav + CF goodies inside make this a winner for me.

If i can get them to give me a fair shake on my S2000 and perhaps a little off their 71k asking price i will most likely do it (all other things working out too obv).

Life is too short to haggle over 2500 i think....

I won't haggle over the 5K extra that i feel he's paying but I will point out that the car DOES have miles . I will also point out that a new car will not cost that much more .

He's going in this deep on an expensive car. Why not go all the way into a brand new one ?

I always figure 5-10g's the second you drive it off the lot, and about a buck a mile. It is absolutely a buyers market right now. I just traded in my Range Sport on a new one, and they were definitely willing to negotiate more than usual to move some cars.

If you're buying from a dealer, remember, the car was probably traded in, and the previous owner got RAPED on the trade in. If they're asking 71k, they probably gave the guy 61 on a trade in or so. Im sure you have quite a bit of room to negotiate, so start LOW.

Guys,

I got the price down from 71,900...to 69,500. I also have GREAT values on my trades right now so i am waiting see how the rest shakes out.

At the end of the day, high 60s is fair for a car that is EXACTLY what i want i feel....

That is all that counts. High 60s is a fair price, a little high on the milage but these cars are made to be driven. If they are giving you a good deal on your tradein, that can go far. Selling a car yourself is EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK...
