Maybe you will feel differently . I have accepted that Porsche is a car that I love . The other cars just made the Porsche even taht more special .

Now I have a Turbo . You'll see . lol .
I dont doubt that I will be back to porsche but just at a different time. And next time mine will be a Turbo also!

FYI, tsmith, I've been looking for a 06 997 S, and have been using cars.com and autotrader, and do not recall seeing your car listed. You might want to double check your ads. I've already had a seal grey porsche, so that's why I'm not interested in yours.

I'm amazed at some of these numbers. I traded an '03 996 (non-S) with 18k miles for my 997. It was 3.6 years old and needed tires. I got $50k for it. I have to imagine a 1-2 year old 997 S with 8k miles would fetch at least $62-64k from the dealer if not more.

Just for comparison, my 05 997 C2 w/9500 miles would have received $53K for a trade in to a 08 at 2 dealers. I decided to not take the deal. Recent Excellence Magazine (MAY 2008) was ranging from $58k to $65k in their reply on page 134. But, it is only worth what someone will pay you.

A year ago, I sold my '06 S with 8K miles for 70 grand (MSRP was 95 grand). This was through an independent auto place. The dealer wanted to give me 62 grand for trade-in.

I was looking at an m5 and they were discounting them big at the time so who knows)..I took it to newport porsche with ~18k miles they offered 54k and said the car needs new tires.

hope that helps
Please PM me the numbers they were offering on the M5.

I checked and it is on cars.com
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

Autotrader has had some problems with my ad but assures me that it will be working tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Thanks

Hey alright there we go

In the off chance you can't sell the car, I have a takeoff set of 20" Modulare M4 brushed with tires that I could let go pretty cheap that fits a narrowbody

but good luck with the sale anyhow, I'd hate for you to be stuck with the car if you don't want it.
