Like i said unless you have been to Germany, you haven't seen these seats because we are the exclusive North American Importer for Speedart and we haven't sold them in the US yet.

sorry i thought they were CF overlay. so your saying that the bucket seat is made of 100% CF? is that even strong enough? i thought most recaro seats are made of kevlar for its strength and lightweight?

my original point is, why buy replica when you can be authentic porsche seats at almost same price... which are oem by recaro from a Porsche dealership? the link i posted is from Suncoast Porsche in Miami. i believe its 100% authentic recaro porsche seats from the 996.

because for every guy that would spend the extra couple hundred bucks for them there are 10 guys that either want the carbon or want to save a few bucks or both.

Don't want to interrupt here, but how much lighter are these seats than the OEM in a 997?

GT3 seat has with sliders about 12 kg. The 997 Carrera seat about 30 kg, the weight depends on features of seat.

The GT3 replica seats in carbon are being sold on e-bay for anywhere from $1,300 to 1,600 USD for the pair with sliders.

About the "e-sales" seats posted, they have the embossed Porsche Creast which makes me believe they are the real deal and price concordes at $2,500+

I am not fond of the Speedart products, yet Speedart would have to clarify the differenece between their seats and the replicas sold on ebay by various companies to justify the extra $1k this for their own convenience and our education as customer.

Anyone with the "replicas" from e-bay would like to comment on their seats please.

Thanks Fern and Panerai to backing me up, but I do want to clarify myself on this seemingly hypocritical comment. I apologize in advance if I somehow read it wrong.

We sell more 996 GT3 seats than any other dealer in the entire world. Our seats are 100% authentic Porsche factory parts made by Recaro, and have dozens of customers that will attest to this. So much for your gut feelings.

But hey, at least your seats weight 1kg less than ours.

Well glad to know they are real, those seats do look really nice and the price seams fair. Really all I wanted to accomplish with these seats to just post up their availability. If you don't want to buy Speedart's Seats, you don't have to. If anyone is interested please don't hesitate to call or shoot me an email.

yeah i wish we could order in a set to take a look at them. They look very close to the real thing in pictures. we order the F1 steering wheels in full leather all the time and i have to say they have come out awesome everytime so I assume they would use the same type of material.

why are people making replicas of the 996 GT3 seats when the 997 GT3 RS seats look 10x better?

It doesn't look like it would cost that much more the replicate, either.
