I was at a trackevent in the south of Sweden today where to my amazement I saw a grey (don't think it was seal gray, I'd say it was a bit darker) 997. It wasn't on display or anything, it just stood parked in a corner in the area around the track. Well anyway I was very skeptic to the 997 design when I saw it on pictures, but I can assure after seeing it in real life it was gorgeous. I think even the biggest 996-fans will agree me on that after seeing it for themselves. Didn't have any camera though, so no pics unfortunately.

 

So was it a standard Carrera or an S? Did you freak out and run around saying OMG!!!!!

I have seen all the pics and now I want to see the car. I think you are right that most of us will be very pleased when we too get to lay our own eyes on the car.

 

It was a Carrera S. I didn't freak out but I was very surprised seeing the car as I know it hasn't arrived to the dealers yet.
