But what is lowering the suspension, the springs or the shocks?

We are trying to find out if a base 997 (lowered with a set of aftermarket springs) will have a different height then a 997S lowered with the same springs.

This thread needs rear height added as well,LOL !
Post tire sizes and set-ups.
I am just installing coilovers right now and would love to see side pics of your cars as well as the wheel well arch measurements front and back please!
Might really be a useful thread down the road for people to refer to !

I am running a 305/25/20 Pirelli P-zero and I am at 26 1/8 inches in the rear.
Front not done yet.I will update later.
I am thinking that this rear height may be about 1/2 inch to low.I will wait to adjust until I hear from others !

Stacy

All the shocks do is provide dampening. they have NO affect on ride height. Spring rate and preload have every thing to do with ride height. PASM has nothing to do with ride height. the PSAM changes the Dampening rates.

Every aftermarket spring suppler has there own spring rate and sag. check with the suppler for ride height.

Michael2364 is infamous around these parts
Just call Porsche on Monday and see if the springs for a c2 and a c2s are the same part number. If I was a betting man, which I'm not, because I suck at it, I would bet the springs are different.

So if I am reading this correctly the two things that will effect ride height are springs and tire sidewall/height.

I am not a betting man either, but I am sure that you are correct. Lowering springs from Eibach are common for both C2 and the C2S.

MCL never seems too interested in me, I think they have a negative attitude towards anyone with a US car.

Your not a gambler, yet you are installing your own CO kit, make sure
that you don't have left over parts, unless it is made by Ikea

About 25.5" front, 26.5" rear the way you measured. Slope is 0.80 degrees back to front on alignment. Damptronics for PASM, GT3 Cup control arms, GT3 front sway with TRG drop links, H&R sway rear. Camber is -2.3 front, -1.9 rear. Razor sharp on the street, will report on the track after 4/24.

Photo as requested - 19" Fikse Profil 10s.
