I'm not crazy about the lobster-fork wheels.

The more I see the 997 interior the more I'm satisfied with the 996 and the longer I'm willing to wait before upgrading.
Too much flash, unnecessary for a Porsche.
The steering wheel will drive me out of the car.
Yes, the ugliest factory wheels put on a Porsche ever.
The interior and the wheels are over designed and too busy.

I agree... MY01' looks more like the race car Porsche intended it to be. This is looking more like a Lexus or Nissan interior. No thanks!!!!!!!!.

This wheel is one of three available, the other two actually look quite good.

just as the 996 took some time to grow on me so now does the 997! The interior is still a little fuinky, but im sure it will end up a winner. Good news about the ugly factory wheels... we will have our 19 inch and 20 inch wheel wheel application finished in about 1 week!!!!!

That steering wheel looks like Sh$t........... The real question is where is the HP???

So what is the prediction for the Turbo HP? If it is on the lines of the N/A 997's increase tell me who will be impressed???

I really like it. this will be my first purchase of a new Porsche and the first time I ventured paying over 60K for a new car. The old Porsches I had, a 928 and a 951 were fun cars but they had very poor interiors. I remember ***** coming off in my hands. Neither of those two "used" cars had more than 45K on the odometer. It was pathetic. The 996 just ain't that great and I don't mena to be disrepectful of current owners but facts are facts, they don't look all that great after a few years of use. On the contrary, most of the BMW/Mercedes that I have owned hold up extremely well, especially Mercedes. My thoughts are that for 85K it should be pretty exceptional. I don't want to settle on the small stuff, I'm planning to keep it for a few years and I fully expect all aspects of the car to be fully functional for a 4-5 years and look the part of an 85K Premium sports car at the end of its run with me.

That Cayenne interior is ****. Everyone complains of I-Drive on BMW's but, you guys like the 50 some odd buttons on that center dash. Terrible. Cayenne Interior and **** wheels gotta go.

I must be the only one who is beginning to like the S wheels. When I superimpose the other wheels available, the car looks almost plain and less aggressive.

I like them and think they will look even better when polished or chromed.

First mods for the 997 will be new dash and wheels.
All the buttons should be placed on a touch panel screen.
Get rid of the clutter.
