Saw multiple 2005s advertised on autotrader/cars and some are 996 style/some 997.......

I have seen manufactures change little things (i.e. style of key on 07 rover, sliding cupholder on 05 e55, etc) during one year of model production - but never an entire body style?
Just curious.........

 

During 2005, the GT2, GT3, Turbo, and Carrera 4S were all 996s. The Carrera and Carrera S were the 997 body style.
