newbie to forum
Had a 97 993 and sold it for the 2006 2 months ago. Its time for a start on parts. Does anyone know if the cold air intake at fabspeed works?

Welcome to the 6! Sorry I can't help you with the Fabspeed intake, haven't seen one in person. Not a bad price compared to the competition, though.

Welcome to the forum and the 997, I don't have the Fabspeed intake, but from what I have read on this forum is it doesn't do anything for performance. Intake will do very little if any on it's own.

Congrats on the new ride. I don't think the cold air intake adds, but does add sound. Try this......

That is the X-51 air box and it is the way to go.

how do I get that? Where is it from? How much? How long to install?

Contact Suncoast Porsche for the parts and TSB on the X-51.

Do a search on here and you will find two decent alternatives for the adapter ring you will need plus many discussions about the install.

If you decide to do it after that PM me with any further questions.

Welcome to the forum . I don't have any pictures of my former 997S intake (F77) but this is the similar version (called Werks 1) on my Turbo . Both are made out of carbon fiber .

Our X-51 Airboxes are now shipping with the adapter ring for stock throttle bodies.
