Hey all,

As you may have or may not have seen, Im looking for a 05/06 997 C2s.

I found one that I'd be interested in, havent seen it in person but in pictures i see it has a rod antenna option....and i think it sort of looks hideous in the pictures...

Is this tihng removeable? Or is it something id live with? Why would anyone order this from an integrated fashion?

 

Those things still exist? Is it really an option?

 

yeah apparently it is...or was on the 05 model year anyhow....well the one i was looking at is sold anyway so it doesnt really matter i suppose unless i come across another one, BUT it just looked really odd...and its not even like its a 'cool' looking sharkfin or anything like bmw's...or even a small semi cool looking one on vw's...its this huge rod...looks odd..i couldnt imagine why anyone would order that as an option?

 

Probably a Denver car, lots of people order the option in Europe who live in the Alps, they get better reception than the integrated antennas (substantially better) in mountainous areas where you are going in and out of a line-of-sight situation with the radio tower. And, yes, it is still an option.
