Test drove the 911 after selling my Cayman S

Hi,
I had a Caymans S for an year, sold it recently. The CS was great but lacked room to move seats further back etc and it was lackinga little in power.

Today i test drove the 911, may be the CS handles better on a track etc but O my, the 911 feel from the rear engine and how it squats while accelerating was just awesome, the sunroof is a bonus

IMHO the 6 speed in the 911 feels much smoother over the CS and boster S gear boxes for some reason

I have a few questions
1) I will wait for the 09 models( 345 Hp ) and get a 911 with sport seats and is anyone considering to get the dual clutch?
2) Is the 911 C4 worth it over 911 and where is the AWd useful?
3) I got a 8% discount when i ordered the CS, what are 911 owners getting?

Thanks

1. It is a confusing question. Yes, all of us would like to test drive the PDK.
2. Snow, wet, sand.... if you will drive these kinds of road, yes, worth it. Test drive both versions to see if you can tell the difference.
3. 09? none. 08? 5-10%

After the first 90 days of newness and all the hype wears off, discounts should be available

I would wait. The 09 will come with a power bump and axle lock will be an option (improving track performance since you track the car) .

I personally would wait for the 09 and avoid the awd; more $$$, more weight, and different, less "Porsche-like", driving and handling.

as the awd gives more security on the road on questionable surface - it takes it away from the TOTAL CONNECTION as i felt when i drove the 4wd cars. i love the feeling of rwd. :-)

i believe the power bump on the standard carerra for '09 will be 355hp not 345. don't waste your money on a c4. DSG will certainly be faster than a traditional manual though not nearly as fun, really depends on what you want. At the track DSG will be fast too but again I'd rather have 3 pedals.

cephas, just where would the *** be coming from? LOL I think you meant the C2S is a little bit wider than the C2 narrow body but not wider than the TT or C4s.
