Looking for the best wheel refinisher?

Hi All,

My dealer scratched all my wheels doing an alignment. I basically have little divots up near the bead of the tire from the alignment tool. What is the best way to fix this? The dealer has someone that fixes small scratches like this on the spot. This means, I assume they will not bake the rework. Will this last? I live in MA. So we have a few places like Rim PRO, Rim and Wheel works, etc. I see wheel enhancements ads in Panorama. Any experiences?

Thanks,
Anthony

FWIW, My wife got some serious curb rash on one of her 328xi rims. Our local BMW dealership has a guy who comes by and fixes these things. We made an appointment and took her car in. The guy took her car for a half hour while he worked his magic. We had no idea what he did or how the finished job would look. When he brought the car back we were blown away. The repair was absolutely perfect and we could not tell where the curb rash had been.

It depends on your wheels. If you have painted lips or polished lips, a mobile guy should be able to take care of the problem quite well. If you have machined lips, a mobile guy could fix them, but the repaired area would be polished rather than machined. If you have machined lips, it's best to have them repaired properly in the machine shop.

I used Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists to fix my wheels, which is a national chain. the repair looks pretty seamless. No word yet on the long term durability.
