I would like to know why the 997 Targa is only available in 4WD and not in 2WD also as the 993 and 996 ?

I don't know either, and can only assume that since there are so few Targas made, it wasn't worth making them in both configurations. Perhaps their experience on previous versions was that more customers wanted the AWD. I would have preferred a T2S, but didn't have a choice.

 

I would like to know why Porsche doesn't make a wide body C2S, but I think that we will never know. Somebody at Porsche gets to make these decisions.

 

probably because if you had a C2S in wide body they wouldn't have the 4wd version in widebody with a nice mark up that forces you to buy it in that configuration. I get the point it should be more options. after all theres a trillion variants in the 911 as it is why not make a c2s with a wide rear....
