i just bet my business partner (who happens to drive a 996 C2) that the 997 C2 and C2S are both narrow bodies. the 996 C2/C2s were also both narrow body for that matter. This FOB should know better, since he owns a 996! maybe he thought he's more knowlegable because i use to own a boxster. He was so insistent that the 997 C2 is narrow body and 997 C2S is wide body because his friend just got a C2S and told him it's a widebody. obviously, the salesman noticed his friend was an idiot too and didn't correct him when he thought his car was a widebody 997. in their defence, i do agree the 997s bodies are quite wide and to the untrained eye, can easily be mistaken for a widebody, and that's largely the reason i'm currently shopping for a 997 C2/C2S as i think it's plenty wide. but, like the saying goes, a fool and his money are soon parted.

that $1000 goes towards my 997 C2 "narrow body" fund, thank you very much! just thought i'd share this, as i'm sure many on this board have had the same argument with someone less informed at one point or another.

I have made a couple of bucks off my know it all buddies on similar stuff. (Not $1k though, nice work )

the c4s 996 was a wide body... they did not make a 996 c2s
