The Gt1 engine is amazing but that's just one man's opinion and my car is modified to 700 Hp . One year , 5700 miles , and not even a cough !
There have been isolated posts of problems but that is also the case on any auto forum (even the M3) .
6speed does have a Turbo forum which gives you the chance to get multiple opinions and car experiences.

[quote=drkbrent;1995530]Tried to PM you, but I haven't "posted" enough yet!! Seems like you know quite a bit about the beloved German Porsche! Been reading about great deals on the '08 S right now and it got me thinking. What dealerships would you recommend I deal with to get a great deal? $12,000 - $15,000 off retail realistic? Wouldn't mind going to FL or anything like that (currently live in Baton Rouge).[/quote
I will PM you my e mail but by then you may have enough posts .
You can expect at least 10 percent off on a new car if the dealership has some inventory .
If you buy a car out of state whether its Florida or anywhere else I do recommend that you go in person to drive that specific car and its obviously easier to shop near to home . Factor in that the car would have to be transported unless you plan to drive it . This adds cost to a good deal.
I would be glad to refer you to both South Florida dealerships whom I have bought cars from . I've been very pleased with both but one has become like family to me. I simply have no idea what their inventory and prices are as of today .
The first step would be to find the car .
I have never bought a car from out of state so this aspect I am not as familiar with as others who have in this forum .
