Should I paint the lip on a white GT3 bumper or leave it black?

I have a make a big decision to make next week for my 997S and that is to paint the lip of my GT3 front bumper (white) or to leave it black. I know it's personal preference but I'd like to hear everyone's opinion.

Also, it seems inevitable that the lip will get scratched eventually from a steep driveway or incline, what will hide the scratches better, white or black. Also do I just not paint the lip at all or do i need to actually get them to paint it black? I have attached 2 examples below! Thanks for all your help!

It will scratch for sure, so leave it black.

RidinBimmerz is infamous around these parts
You're in the city? If so, leave it black. Otherwise I'd say paint for sure

Tough question. The hardest aspect of a white car is what a scratch looks like on a painted bumper . It is highly visible.

I would drive it black for 1000 miles just to see how well you handle the change . Then decide.

Mine is painted BTW . I've been pretty good with it.

That's a good idea. I don't plan on lowering the car (for now, haha) but I assume it is at least a couple inches lower than the stock bumper. Do you basically drive super slow down inclines and into driveways, gas stations, etc or do you take things at a steep angle?

I can think of at least two shopping plazas that I refuse to go with the car. I park on the ground floor only and even angle the car into a speed bump. The worst case scenario where an entrance or exit is unavoidable I will angle the car and edge in very slowly . I have never scraped the visible part of my lip -only the under portion --mildly .

Worse than an incline is the front in parking space stone marker . It can cause worse visible scrape than an incline snag . I am neurotic beyond repair 100 percent of the time when front end parking and have never scraped any car -but have seen others who have . I will even get out of my car to be sure the rear end is not protruding and sometimes I will get back in my car and move it an inch or two . Keep in mind that when parking I also look at what cars are next to me , choose an end spot, and look to see what across the way can back into my car -- along with location and how secure my vehicle is from theft or vandalism.

Wow you really have this down to a science. This brings new meaning to defensive driving (and parking)
