I Was Told That A 2009 Carrera S Is As Fast As A 2008 Carrera S With The 17k Power Kit Option??

 

Fast from 0-60?
Fast as in top speed?
Fast around a particular circuit?

The 2009 997S is advertised as making roughly the same power as the 2008 997S with the X51 power kit.

 

The '09 S with DCT should be faster in most every measure than an X51 car imho...

I would imagine they would be very close with the 09 maybe even slightly faster, especially with PDK. Sounds like an amazing transmission.

 

I think, IMO, that if the '09 S is faster than an X51 car from before the FL, it must be due to chassis improvements, LSD etc. but not much because of power and torque. As it stands, an X51 has 381 hp and 306 ft.lbs of torque whereas the '09 has 385 hp and 310 ft.lbs which is not much of a difference.
