Hey folks,

I recently noticed a vibration at around 70mph on the freeway. The vibration is felt through the seat and not from the steering wheel. It seems to come from the rear but I can't be sure. Its pretty noticeable, you can see the top of my passenger seat vibrate.

My fairly new set of tires have less than 5k miles on them. I wonder what the problem could be? I've been on some rough roads earlier this year and hit a curb while back but didn't notice the problem until recently.

Think my tires need re-balancing? Could they be out of round? Or something else?

Sounds like a tire prob to me.

Have the rears rebalanced.

 

+1 on possible rear tire problem. Maybe a wheel weight fell off, it happens. Get it checked out soon.

 

My passenger seat vibrates over rough road. In another thread I saw other people have the same problem. I would however have the balance checked on your wheels. I doubt that the tires would be "out of round" after 5000 mi. of driving unless the car was sitting for a long time and developed a flat spot.
