I'm trying to use the bug spray...i.e. the fiance soon to be wifey, but she's not on the computer enough to keep me off this site, arrrg!

I see you got your car from Pacific Porsche? Seems to be a good bunch of guys out there. Pleasant and very willing to work with you over the phone. It's too bad they didn't have the one I've been looking for. How was your experience with them?

welcome to a new world of fanaticism.

i have owned a pcar for 2 months and have spent my wedding budget on mods. i have all but nearly abandoned my business. all i can think about how she sounds when i turn her on.

"no one can make you feel the way she will when you turn her on" - mark my words!

if u need help getting the mod disease, go into the aftermarket parts section..

enjoy!

oh.. and btw.. you won't need the gixxer anymore.

might even feel "above and beyond" it. but that's just my 2 cents after joining the p-car world.

No, still loving the Gixxer. Its an '08 750. Hopefully I can work out the modding bug on the bike, (already pretty substantially modded) much cheaper that way.
Anyway, an update on the car. She's got 2500 miles on her now, and is running better than ever. Took a trip to Vegas a couple of weeks ago, got a chance to see how she handles sustained cruising speeds of over 100 MPH. At one point took her up to 135 on one of the other freeways that branch off the 15 North. The car came into its own at those speeds, felt fantastic. That's what these cars are really made for, not the damn L.A. traffic that I usually have to drive in! When do you all do your first oil change/service? The dealer is hopeless, one dealer told me that the first service for my car (2007 C2S) is at 5,000 miles, another dealer told me it's a 10,000! I think the manual says something different as well.

I think you mean Nicco.

Most, not all, service advisers know swat about the technical aspects of the cars they write up for service and will as a matter of course suggest things that that brings money into the dealership.

If your 997 was over (2) years old they will recommend (per Porsche) a brake fluid flush. Unless you track you car on a regular basis it's an overkill (IMHO) to perform that service every couple of years.

Great looking car. I had an S before my 4S and I liked the ease of being able to slide around corners. What a great car!

new c2s

nice color! That is one of my favorites. it will detail very nice.

I got my c2s 5 months ago and i love it. I usually get new cars but this time I found a used (3200 miles) 08 and went for it. It is loaded and i got a great deal. Some of the options (tinted glass, clear bra, lojack, red taillights, heated seats, navigation, bose, sport shifter, + many others) were not what I would normally get if i bought new. After living with the options I changed my mind and now I enjoy it even more.
