Which ECU flash offers the smoothest power, handheld install and upgradable?
Too funny, but true!
The software maps have a range of settings that optimizes the performance. How different can all of them be? The softronic seems to be the most popular and if I'm not mistaken, it's by Vivid Racing. While I'm not new to computers, it just seems like a real PITA to hook up a laptop download software, remove laptop, re-install laptop for ECU flash, wait 30 minutes for upload etc. Other than having the stock map, doesn't the Giac seem the "most" user friendly for the install by simply attaching a cable and pressing a button? Fully aware of other flash software not listed in the top of the thread, but selected a few of the most discussed products. The difference between 20 hp and 19 hp for a slam dunk installation is worth the loss in hp to make sure nothing get's screwed up during the lengthy flashing process. Is the only reason most select Softronic to keep a backup of the stock flash?
