I thinking of trading up my 996. Can I expect to deal, or is sticker the bottom line on a 997 S? Any one with experience on this?

I would not get my hopes up for a discount of any considerable amount, especially on the S. Word is out about these cars and they will be sought after by a lot of people willing to pay full pop. If you want a deal and you are ok being not being the first guy on the block to have one then wait a little while.

 

I wouldnt count on any discounts on the first batch of the 997s but Im pretty sure they will be discounted sooner than people think they will be, production numbers are going to be increased on Porsche sports cars being the 997 and new Boxster, sales are very strong on the Cayennes as production on those has been increased to suit demand, Porsche's goal is to increase their production all around and discounts will be increased as well to make sales, its only the beginning.

 

I was thinking that any discount would be a matter of a dealer giving up a little profit to make the sale. I guess I'll have to play the game.

 

If you can hold off till Winter, you should see discounts of 5+% on the units on the lot.

 

I love the word DISCOUNT!!!!! I hope they discount a little I hate paying full price.
