AfterHours Sport Pipes dyno results posted - (vids coming)
I just ordered a set of AfterHours mufflers to replace my Fabspeed's. I've already got videos of EOM 3.8 mufflers, Fabspeed Mufflers, and Fabspeed + EVOMS CAI, so now I'll edit it and add a clup of the AfterHours, Plenum, EVOMS CAI, and LWFW. I expect great sound!

Let them burn in for a few hundred miles first- the sound is even better.

Here's one with my pcar for ref: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQWueROnQh8&fmt=6
Had a few hundred miles on the pipes and several dyno runs-
ATL quit screwing around and get a set already!!!!!

Kurt!! There are actually a handful of members here that have the AH pipes (996 mainly) but I'm sure Cattman will post a nice video as soon as they arrive. I think you told me that they smoke like crazy at first & not to be alarmed.
I'm sure when I hear his in person that it'll motivate me to pull the trigger.

Yep- they are exactly the same pipes though, mountwise and internally. The only diff is the diameter of the exit tube for the tip attachment. The S pipes have a larger exit tube diameter and will not fit standard non-S tips.
You can use S tips on a non-S set of mufflers but you'll need to make a couple of shims. I believe the AH pipes are designed to use factory or aftermarket S tips, so standard tips probably won't fit.

Watch the vid- yes it sounds just like that...

- But yes your sweetie will hate you for them..
Before I bought my Fabspeed, I spent a lot of time listening to all the muffler choices available. Most sounded a bit tame. I loved the bypass pipes, but didn't think I could live with them on a daily basis. I wanted something MORE than Fabspeed, but less than bypass pipes, and from what I've heard (online and in person) this is the best choice for me. But as noted, they're definitely loud, and they do produce some resonance at around 2,500 rpm's. Can't wait to get them on!
I will DEFINITELY provide some videos on YouTube next weekend.

If you get a chance to drive a stock older air-cooled 911 you'll notice that it too is much louder than a 996 or 997. (basically it really sounds like a porsche
)The 2500 rpm peak resonance will be more of an issue for tip owners than 6speed- I am typically around 2800-5500 normal driving, the only time I see 2500 is lugging 2nd. Tip cars start off line in 2nd so they would experience more noise due to lugging at 2200-2500. If you always manually shift the car into 1st then the problem goes away.
anyway hope this helps! If you compare these to bypass pipes they are MUCH quieter inside the car a major way.
