Good deal or not?
Good deal or not?
Looking at a 09 997 (non S) with PDK, dimming mirrors, heated seats, floormats, Sports Chrono + and Power seats. Working with 7% off MSRP + dealer documentation fee. Has to be ordered for January delivery - none close in the system. Still debating whether or not to add 19" Classic wheels and/or to delete the dimming mirrors in favor of Alcantara inserts.
Is this a good deal? I'm somewhere in the middle of the US and not near either coast based on some deals I found through STFF.
How important are these options for resale down the road? I've read that Chrono is a must with PDK and that no power seats would mean stripper down the road.
Thanx

it is hard to figure out wut is a a good deal as each local economy is different. I am not sure how critical it is to get that hung up on options vs resale value, get one you want and enjoy the car. Resale is yrs from now, it is any body guess judging from today economy....
A good deal is one you feel good about!
That sounds like a fair price to me. I personally recommend the adding the Classic wheels and keeping the dimming mirrors while dropping the Alcantara inserts.
That is more of a car people will be looking for when you sell it.
Again, like many on this forum have said, I will say it again - don't setup the car for what someone else might like - setup the car the way you like it, enjoy it, and drive it like you stole it. Don't buy and preserve the car for someone else's enjoyment at the expense of your own.
In other words, choosing options based on resale is a poor way to pick - especially on a car like this.
