Hi guys - I'm about to pull the trigger on a 997 S I found, but when I opened the hood to take a picture of the white sticker with the option codes (like I had on my 01 Boxster, and I've seen on 996s), there wasn't one.

I'm now concerned the hood may have been replaced. Am I crazy? Clean carfax and paint meter does not show a respray of any panels. but, of course that doesn't mean the entire hood wasn't replaced.

Any identifying marks I should look for -- I am not near the car now, and I forgot to check to see if the VIN is etched in there (would it be?).

If someone could post a shot of the inside of their hood, that would be awesome as well.

i'm not realy shur but i think there are no sticker option code since 996

 

Sticker is in the maintenance booklet. Not on hoods for sometime now......

Yeah, I only got one in the service book when I got my new GT3.

 

My 06 and 07 did not have a sticker inside the hood but my 09 does.
