Agency vs Afterhours mufflers

I plan to choose between these two mufflers. Can anyone give me his opinion on them? Also, why do we hear so much about Tubi, Fabspeed, Awe muffflers and not too much about these two manufacturers. Note: their price is right ie about $950, so it's very appealing to me.

LOL- yeah I am always hounding everyone to buy the AH pipes- they ROCK!!
Go to www.afterhoursautomotive.com and click the porsche mufflers page- there are vids of them on my 996 and 997. These do not sound like anything else on the market and really add some nice HP/TQ to the mix.
Call and talk to Brian (owner) - Tell him Kurt sent ya.

Keep in mind the AH pipes are not for the timid "latte-sipping" pcar driver, they are about 3x louder inside the car than stock mufflers and significantly louder outside the car. The sound is simply wicked.
Think back to the 60's/70's 911 cars- back when sports cars sounded like a sports car

If you want a quiet muffler stick with the name brand stuff.
If you want insane, go with bypass pipes.
AH pipes are the "happy medium" between bypass pipes and traditional mufflers. I get asked all the time where I got my exhaust- gas stations, cruising town, etc.. Nothing but compliments.

^ LOL- yep I see it a lot here in Beverly Hills. A lot of folks driving hot sports cars and driving them like a Lexus. Hilarious.

Hey...I'm offended by that remark!

J/k...
Why buy a PCar and not use it to its potential. I'm sure many on this forum also have 4x4 SUVs that have never seen mud either...hahaha.

Borla's 997 exhaust is now available and I will be posting sound clips very soon.
I absolutely LOVE the sound. Nothing I've heard comes close, so you might
toss Borla into your selection process.
One thing is for sure--if you get a Borla you'll be unique, since no one else will have one--at least for a while.

I've heard the AH pipes in person on Brando's C4S and they sounded great to me. I went with Fabspeed since I do need it a little quieter inside my car. (wife and 2 yr old)

These sound like a step between muffler bypass pipes and Fabspeed. I like it. I've got Fabspeed on now, and was going to add 200 cell sport cats for added sound and performance, but not sure what they'd sound like with the AH mufflers. Anyone try that?

Cool

I have headers, 200 cell cats and the AH mufflers on my 996.

It is not for the weak of heart......but nearly as harsh as bypass/delete pipes.

Since mine is only a weekend/play car, I love it!

Hey buddy! Yeah, I am hunting for a new DD for myself and I thought about getting a Cayenne (the TT would be a bit much). I've done 3 mods to my car since we last spoke and the wife hasn't complained. She realizes it'll never end. Buy first, answer questions later.
