Help me decide: 08 C2S vs. 08 C4S
Help me decide: 08 C2S vs. 08 C4S
Hey everyone,
Im looking to get back into a p-car. I love the C2S and C4S. If the new C4S came with the Turbo bumpers like the previous years, I would be sold on it. What do you all think?
I would be satisfied with the oem aero kit, turbo wheels or carrera sport wheels, possibly the X51 package, not really particular on any other options. What options to get, and what NOT to get?
here's a current pic of my car:
19" LMs, Brembo BBK, OEM CSL trunk, Euro headers/cats, exhaust, 4.10 gears, suspension, etc etc...

I had the opportunity to drive both cars about 4 months ago...from what I can remember, and I remember very well, the C4S just didn't feel as exciting, or involved with the road. I drove it through an industrial business park so the roads were fairly wide and turns plenty, I pushed both cars and just enjoyed the experience of the S a lot more.
Go with the S, if you want, IMO, the more exhilarating experience.

I was going to buy a C4S but after a couple of test drives of an C2S and talking to others who owned both, I ended up buying an C2S and couldn't be happier.
I am sure there are those who prefer the 4 and would argue for snowy states, ice, etc, but for me - in a state that gets plenty of ice and snow - the 2 is a lot of fun and except in extreme situations - has exceptional grip in ice and snow with proper tires.
I have never found myself wishing for more - while I also had the same experience in a 4 - it just wasn't as satisfying for me.
But to each their own - I'm sure you will be happy in either!

C2S - Both are great cars but the C2S has a pure 997 feel to it . Unless I lived in heavy snow or wanted the high hp managability with a Turbo --I prefer the 2S .
Plus it costs less too which leaves you with some spare $$$ to mod it.

As far as to the OP, Raffi gave good advice. However, I noticed you live in MD...if it's a daily I would consider it...if not get the C2S.
BTW, my 04 E46 M3..miss this car. There were somethings about this car I liked better than my 07997S...great car the E46M3..
SS headers-100cpi metallic cats, xpipe, Borla and a AFE CAI and 4:10 gears. Made 310rwhp on 95 octane.
