Anyone recognize this highly modded 2006 997S ?

Wanted to see if anyone knows who owned it or has any info on it. It is for sale at a dealer down in Anaheim, DC Motors. Any info is appreciated.

I included the link to all the photos.

Thinking of buying? I do not recognize the car, however, I did run across it when I was looking for an 06 997S.

I would normally stay away from any modded car unless I knew the guy well that owned it or the previous owner could supply you with a history of the modifications including service reports from the dealer/shop the performed the mods.

I'm looking for another Porsche currently. I saw the car, it was pretty striking in person. There were some cosmetic blemishes and the PASM and SPORT functions were tripping fault codes, guessing it was the springs, not sure though.

But, as you said there are no records on what exactly has been done and by who. Hoping maybe someone can shed some light.

If that is the case, I would stay away. Better not make an emotional decision here. You have no idea who installed the mods. For all you know the previous owner may have done some of the work himself and screwed it up. There is also a good chance this car has had some mods removed before the sale meaning some of the OEM parts maybe have been re-installed incorrectly as well. This may be causing some of PASM fault codes....

They all look beautiful on the used car lot .

Out of all the cars in recent times the C2S has really bucked the trend and retained its value . The other day I looked at the 09's with a little bit of a price jump if one gets a nicely equipped car . The dealership had a few 08's and I think most dealerships have left over 08's and if there's ever a deal to be had it's on those cars .

For an extra 15K you can get a car two years newer, full warranty, and no issues . To me it's well worth the peace of mind if you are shopping .

I drove one of the 09 S's w/ PDK last week at a local dealer, was really impressed. Not sure if I want to part with the 95K+ for it at this point. The 997.2 does seem to have some nice improvements.

Word! I would have gone the 07 or 08 route if I also did not want to have money left over for my own mods....

How does approx 80 K for an 08 sound instead of upper 80's to low 90's (after discounts on both) to have the leftover car?

Full warranty , brand spanking new --just unsold .

It's December ... before the actual year 09 arrives those 08 cars will face the best percentage discounts.

The 09's are new .. still some "gotta have it" excitement --will discount less but yep .. it's new.
