Blakt Out's modded 997 is about to move into it's third life...

I'm suggesting if you can afford a Porsche and can tune it, you probably aren't hurting with a couple JL subs.
As I said JL is good but pound for pound price for price I feel eD has them beat. If money weren't an option I'd go Rainbow.
I am sure that knowing Jared the stuff that he had in his car was the best and most expensive available. He loves his toys!
........getting this thread back on topic...
Going for a Synergy build car would be totally bad ***! There would not be any downsides to tracking and racing a Synergy car.
However.....that being said, the biggest downside for you doing this move will be the loss of money in all of the parts you are selling. As some else has said, you have spent a ton of money on very high quality parts. The way you have them priced, I can see you are going to be taking a loss on these parts.
But then again, based on the way you've modded your car, money hasn't ever been a big issue. Furthurmore, some other folks will be able to buy some very cool Christmas presents at good discount in the future! I've got my eyes on those ultra light, carbon fiber race seats of yours.
Best of luck.
Dan

I'm glad Dan got this back on track though. I'm strugglin' with this. It's like, once I choose, I can never go back.
Dan, PM sent on the seats.
just my opinion (spent time campaigning touring cars, not as a driver but as crew), you should find someone who wants your exact car and sell it, take the money and buy a used race car. race cars always come up for sale and buying a car is always less then building a race car. The above comments are spot on, you'll lose selling the parts off the car (no surprise there) and in the end (which I'm sure will be many months away), you may sit back and think that just buying a GTB (or whatever series you are interested in) would have been cheaper and quicker.
I'm not familiar with the GTB series or rules so I'm ignorant in that respect, but in every other race series I've been involved with or known those that have competed, buying was always more cost affective then building.
If it's an emotional connection to your specific car and you want to race that one, then that's something else to consider and maybe that justifies the costs. But by and large, if you want to go out and race and win, I would start thinking of cars as tools, they have a purpose, they do there job, and you replace them as needed to fulfill the next task.
Best of luck, if I had endless amounts of money I would be racing cars again, but you have to be willing to spend to win and there is no end to how much cash you can put in, no matter what series or rules exist to keep costs in control. Assuming you want to win that is.

ryan, that was quite depressing about cars being tools and having a purposed. i always thought cars, especially p-cars, were better for "scoring" than for "winning". but hey.. to each his own..
jared, it's sad to hear that driving on the street is no longer fun for you. but do what makes you happy. and let's make our deal happen!

Ryan,
When I posted this thread, I was at the beginning of knowing what I wanted. Essentially, I want to race. Saying that I wanted to run GTB now seems silly to me. I don't exactly know where I want to run, but I'm figuring it out.
Jay,
You got it. Driving on the street is still fun, but I'm wanting to get that harder hit of car-heroine, I guess. You're going to be stoked...
