Europipe for 997?
Europipe for 997?
Hi, I was wondering will a Europipe also fit a 997? The website only says 997s, but I was thinking this is only because of a larger increase in performance on the S version.
I tried sending them an email but I could not find their address as I don't have Outlook installed.
Thanks for any help!

You like that red car huh ? It sounds great . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWFoOSslMCU
I've been toying with the idea of buying a Cayman or a 997. I really like that 997s. But it's too much money after pipes and wheels. The price difference is wheels and pipes and that's the selling point for me. Would prefer not to buy used, unless I can find one with ultra low miles ~<3000.
Free advice - and you'll get your money's worth on this one.
I bought my 2005 997S/Cab during the 2007 model year. A huge savings. It had 22,000 miles on it - which was arguably high, but the cars are remarkably durable and it was still under warranty.
I DID have a subtle, worrisome and annoying 'check engine' problem with it that took a bit for my dealer to diagnose. But save for that, it's been an excellent experience and lots of money saved for auto-accouterments. Until the 2009's came out (PPK, direct injection), there was no good reason to buy new. And even now, I'd wait a year or three to upgrade - if at all.
Separately, if you are interested in pipes and wheels because you're looking for the best performing P-car at sub-atmospheric (read GT2) prices, you're likely better off with the Cayman. Blasphemous though it may be, having driven both, I (and many others) feel that the Cayman is a fundamentally better handler, better dynamics, equivalen braking. Get another 100+ horses under the hood (or hatch) of a CaymanS and no reasonable Carrera-series will be able to stay with you.
Oooh, I can hear the flames lighting up...

1) The 09 models have a different exhaust altogether with the DFI engine . This red car is pre facelift 997 . I don't know if Europipe has a 997.2 exhaust yet .
2) My feeling is get the "s" stock . Keep it stock for as long as you need to do so because you can always mod it upward . It's important to get the right car out of the gate .
3) My local P car dealership has 3 leftover 08 "S" cars . Maybe yours does too. With the actual 09 year only days away, plus a down economy, plus the launch of a 997.2 you may just get a good deal on an 08 997S.

I want to buy myself the 997 because that's where my heart is, but my wallet and accustomed penny pinching lifestyle I've had to live say Cayman. I don't really care who can or can't stay with me. I have to take defensive driving as I type.
