Jumping in the market -- feedback requested
Jumping in the market -- feedback requested
Hi all, I am new member to this site. After reading the post and test driving a few 997s, I think I am ready to make my first purchase.
Here is my wish list:
· 991 S Cab ideally with these options/trim:
o Exterior: black, white, or seal gray
o Interior: Black
o Top: Black
o “Must haves” features: heated seats, Nav, 6 speed manual, remote entry, “Sport Chrono Package plus”
o “Nice to haves” features: power seats, multi functional steering wheel, Bluetooth, iphone, CPO, 19” Carrera S Wheel
I am looking to spend between $60 to $70 dependent on mileage and features. So far I mainly have been looking on ebay, cars.com and autotrader.com. Is this realistic? Are the other factors/features I should consider?
Thanks in advance for your response and guidance
-Moon

Moon, I think your model description is a typo. The 991 is rumoured to be the next 911's chassis designation. I was a bit confused at first.
I notice that you are in Seattle, Justatoy (his name is Stacy) is selling his 06 C2S Cab. Do a search for his winterizing post to see how well loved this car is. He is located in the Vancouver BC area.
Good Luck.

Have you tried Barrier Porsche ? Many of the posters from your region have been very happy buying their cars there . The 08 leftover inventory is a little higher than the 60 to 70 range but it is something to consider while inquiring aboit used CPO cars.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Thanks all for the responses and the warm welcome. Your responses are really helpful to newbie like me.
NorthVan997C2S, JustAToy is really into his car to say the least. What a freaking sweet ride!
I dropped by Barrier a few times; they have a pretty good selection and a great sales staff. The only ding against them is their (or more the Seattle market in general) prices are higher than other parts of the country. So I thought I would try ebay, cars.com, etc to see if I can save a few bucks after factoring the shipping cost.

Keep this in mind no matter where you buy --a "CPO" car will cost a bit more but there is a peace of mind with this recent certified Porsche warranty program .
Good luck .
My car does not have the "Must haves" he is looking for,oh BTW mine is an '05
SC or no SC everything has it's price,LOL!
If I were you I would be looking here on the forum...you can find out sooo much about a car for sale by the posts the seller makes.
Also, this seems to be a REALLY tight forum with good people.Even though we don't really know each other, you sorta feel like you do from exchanging posts!Weird, but it is 'Peace of Mind'.Just my $.02
Stacy
PS Good luck in your hunt.
