AMT Forged Wheels - Are these the lightest weight wheels?

I have seen a few vendors advertising these wheels and I really like the look of the TECH 1-110.

So I have been researching wheels for some time as I need a net set for the track and or street.

I have read about every piece of literature on wheels and read many posts, BUT I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW LIGHT THESE WHEELS ARE!!!!!

19" x 8.5" = 16.75 lbs.
19" x 11" = 20.06 lbs.

WOW, I was set on getting a set of VOLK's TE37 as I thought they were some of the lightest, and those are 4 lbs. heaveir on the fronts and 2 lbs. heavier on the rears.

Even there 20" are lighter than my stock 19" forged turbo wheels

20" x 8.5" = 18 lbs.
20" x 11" = 22 lbs.

I'd be all over these if the just made a 18" but they have me debating a set of 19" now!

and best of all they put all there R&D and weights on their site in a easy to read and get manner! Full transparency and now hiding numbers.

That is how every wheel company should list, its almost impossible to find weight of 99% of the wheels out there without having to ask on a forum and the answer is not always right.

and even better they are made in the USA, in my home state of Cali.

Have these just been flying under the radar or am I late to the party on these?

If that weight is correct, that puts them on par with dymags? Makes you wonder how strong they can be. They really have undercut HRE and Champion, which I thought were the "high end"

If you want "the" lightest, go with forged magnesium, given how much the Carrera is raced, I'm sure there are a few options. BBS likely does a forged magnesium LM series and I know Volk does a forged magnesium TE37.

established company, new product line. there are a few posts on the Turbo forums with more details and explanations of the weights etc. but based on what I read there did not cut corners or strength in the quest for lightness.
