Let's reminisce: pics of our last loves
My '97 M3 looked like that, except for the wheels/tint/sunroof/front plate/fog lights.
It's too bad that the later M3s, didn't head in the same enthusiast direction.

This is a fun thread. Memories...
1970 Mustang Mach 1, from back in the day. I still like these cars.
First P car, '76 911S Targa. plus 25 yrs old and still one sweet handling car.
2004 Boxster Special Edition. First P car bought off the showroom. An exciting day, great package. Cocoa leather and GT Silver, lovely.

My 05 Audi S4, just before I bought my first 997C2S

My 06 997 C2S with it's back end rearranged by a garbage truck. Last time I drove this car. If you look at the Right exhaust tip, it gives you and indication of how much the car was compressed. THe main frame rail was shortened, and to fix stretched back.

Ed: What was the final cost of repair?
There was no drive train damage...I was hoping for the car to be a write off. The garbage truck driver didn't care too much, he just gave me his bosses business card and said to contact him.
The final repair cost was just under $30,000, insurance said no write off until it hits $65,000. Only 9900km (6000 miles) on the car when it happened.
That rear damage is a great fear of mine. The most important parts of that car are behind the driver and a rear end collision is more difficult to prevent . In short --one can spend all this money on a beautiful car and some jackass can ruin it and the driver never even saw it coming.
I completely agree. I now have an e46 M3 and i miss the e36 love...
Aston Martin DB9
