AMT makes a 19x8.5 and 19x12 for the 997 GT3, these will work on the std narrowbody. Not as cheap as the CCWs though.

HRE can make a 12" in any of their 3pc styles, including the Competition lightweight series.

I do want to track my car soon and will be far from "seasoned" but knowing I have a good set up will have that placebo effect LOL. I will check out CCW for sure.

AJ, what I"m saying is that the maximum recommended rim width for a 305 tire is 11.5" and 11" for the 295's. If you go to TireRack even Michelin recommends only a 11.5" width wheel for the MSC's that come on the 997 GT3 both narrow and wide body. Yet they obviously work on a 12" wide wheel as witnessed by the GT3.

I personally like as wide as possible.

Edgy01 is infamous around these parts
When I ordered my Carrera S Cabriolet I was fortunate to go through so many delays from Zuffenhausen that during the wait they introduced the Carrera 4/S and the Carrera Sport wheels. They fit the narrow body perfectly with the 305 tires. (I looked again having just washed the car a few minutes ago.)

I had thought myself about picking up another set of rims in the GT3 design,--8.5 fronts and 12 in rears (you can never have too much rear rim on a 911) but am guessing that the weight will only get higher and higher!
